The Centre Management of Burns Mall are delighted to present the ‘Festive Fun’ Series for 2018!

Christmas is coming once again to Kilmarnock, and the Centre Management of Burns Mall have been hard at work preparing for this year’s Festive Season.

2018 sees the return of  Santa Claus and his helper Elf to the Shopping Centre following their successful appearance at Burns Mall last year.

The Mall will deliver a fantastic programme of performances and entertainment throughout the entire six week period, commencing with the ‘Kilmarnock Lights Switch On’ to be held on Sunday 25th November.

The Christmas Lights Switch On has been scheduled for Sunday 25th November, and is being organised by East Ayrshire Council.  The entertainment scheduled throughout the afternoon will feature acts over two separate stages in Kilmarnock Town Centre – the Community Stage will feature local talent and music groups from all over East Ayrshire. Feature performers for this year’s line-up on the Main Stage include Craig Ward (The Voice 2017), Highway Band, Little Mix Magic and Emily Middlemas (from the X-Factor), with Colin McCardle compering on the day.

Groups and local bands already booked for the Season include the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra, Loxie, Catching Fireflies and The Salvation Army Carollers, and Centrestage will provide shoppers with a sneak peek at this year’s ‘Together for Christmas’ campaign on Saturday 8th December.

Many of the acts invited to perform during the Christmas/New Year period have been featured in the ‘Music in the Mall’ series which has proven immensely popular and will continue in 2019. This includes solo acts from The Killie Piper, Kerr James, Kim Irvine, Emi V, Daniel Mackin, Rachel Montgomery, Sasha Kaloheris, Emma Sarginson, Lori Smith, Ciara Watt, Jasmine Milne, Taylor Cullen and Jess Lizemore. Owl Magic will appear on Saturday 15th December.

Burns Mall Centre Management still has spaces for local schools and music groups to perform at the Centre during weekdays throughout December, and would encourage them to contact us regarding availability.
